I have been on a trial drug ( OP 1250) and Kisqali for 2 months.. and unfortunately they didn’t work..my ANC is now at 0.6 ! So I need to wait before I start my new drug…Xeloda..hard to wait! My question is what is the best cream people have used for the FH syndrome ?….. just want to be prepared!

hi,

I’ve not been on Xeloda yet, but I understand from a study that using diclofenac/Voltaren cream is supposed to be extremely helpful. You need to start using it right away, though.

Good luck with Xeloda!

After a year and a half on Ibrance I switched to Xeloda and that stopped my progression for three and a half years. I found the drug very very tolerable. Your oncologist can work with you on dosage and schedule to get the best combination that works for you. I was very careful to use a lot of cream. They say cream with urea in it is very helpful so I used that. You can find it easily on Amazon. Voltaren has recently been recommended by people as well. I strongly encourage you to sign up for two Facebook groups. If you don’t use Facebook you could just sign up to join these two group. One is Xeloda(Capecitabine) Support group and one is Xeloda/Capecitabine Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer Support. Both groups have incredibly helpful information from people who are on Xeloda. Good luck with your new treatment.
