These were some of the results from the indepth study sent of to a special company that analyzes your cancer sells. I am sure many of you have had this done.
As I have mentionned I am doing two more cycles of Kisqali as per oncologist's directions and then another PETSCAN. That first one had some variable results as I mentionned in my previous post.
Does everyone with Pik3 wind up switching to Pikray and Trukap ?
I learned that I have the PIK3 mutation in December, 2021. Given my age (78), I decided to remain on ribociclib (Kisqali) and letrozole. It has now been over two years, and my cancer has remained stable. My guess is that breast cancer is less likely to grow quickly in old age.
You are always so helpful with your information. It will be interesting how my next Petscan turns out. I am pretty sure if the new spot and the other one that has grown a bit is active they might move on to something new. Wait and see is the game I guess.
Thanks for the compliment! I'm fortunate that I'm able to read medical studies. Since I'm the only one really concerned, I take full responsibility for my treatment. I simply asked for a new oncologist when the former one tried to insist that I switch to a treatment he wanted to research. My current oncologist respects my decisions.
I have the Pik3 mutation.My onc says one of those drugs is next.
mine is Kisqali and letrozole but only second cycle.
I have the mutation. I’m starting Truqap with an AE next week. I’m really afraid of the side effects but right now I’m in terrible pain from cancer in hips and legs! Good luck to all in choosing the right drugs
