Hi ladies, Has anyone been put on this drug? I am starting in 2 weeks and it's like piqray but less side effects. It came out 2 years ago and fda approved. I also have a mutation. Nervous about this drug and wanted any input? Thank you!!

Hi , I have been on it for 6 weeks so far great , this is my second line after kisqali and faslodex. Tumor markers are dropping for first time since diagnosis. You should join the truqap Facebook page . We’re small group but growing fast. Hope you do well on this medication 🩷

I am starting this drug soon as well. 4th drug in one year. Fingers crossed for this one. I have the mutation for this so I am cautiously optimistic.

I am on a similar drug for PIK3CA mutation in clinical trial called Inavolisib. Hyperglycemia is a side effect so I have been prescribed metformin. Other side effects are minimal.

I’ve been on it since January. My oncologist started me on Pikray but had a horrible reaction after 10 days. Truqap is sooooo much easier. Best of luck to you!

I’ve been on Piqray quite successfully for 14 months before progression. I’m now on Enhertu. Curious if you can use Truqap after Piqray?

Hey girl! I haven’t been in here in a while. I am now on Enhertu as well. I just started. Onc has said Truqip will be next for me and I did Piqray too! Hope you are doing well!

I just started this drug on Monday and so far so good. Been taking Zyrtec and Benadryl to avoid the rash. So far no side effects I’ve noticed but I know it can be cumulative. I was on piqray 4 years ago and had to stop because of a horrible rash. This is my 7th line of treatment

TRUQAP was approved by the FDA November 17 2023. A really new drug. I have two mutations that it covers.

I was first on 200 mg at the end of January. I had massive diarrhea around the clock. In my three days off I had diarrhea too. I changed to 3 days a week with little change in my diarrhea so they took me off truquap for 2 weeks to heal. My bowels went back to normal.

Yesterday I started on 160 TRUQAP 4 days on 3 days off. On my first day, today I had one diarrhea event.

I need to drink lots of fluids. I wear a thick panty liner as I am 73 and this makes me feel more comfortable.

For your sore bottom: witch hazel on a cotton ball works best for me. I use Lidicaine cream for my pain. My intestines get sore so I am on Oxy and Pregabalin twice daily. I had a gastrojujunostomy six years ago.

Check out banana flakes per my nutritionist up to 3 times a day. I mix it with juice or yogurt for diarrhea I purchased it from Amazon and it comes in individual packets and has a mild banana taste

I have blood tests weekly and have had to have IV fluids from diarrhea on occasion

There are not many cancer patients with the mutations. You can contact me at Rbethgold@yahoo.com

Best to all you warriors. Reenie. Rochester NY
