Anyone having trouble sleeping? I am on 15mg twice a day of morphine. My Oncologist gave me trazadone but I wake up with such a hangover feeling. I would obviously check with my oncologist but my brother suggested THC. He said it works without the hangover in the morning. He really gets a good nights sleep.

Any suggestions would be appreciated especially if it’s not another prescription.

Thank you

Lori

I used to take CBD oil caps at night and that worked great! Now I take melatonin and magnesium and that combination works better for me. I also took melatonin with CBD and no side effects.

Be careful, I see you are 64 & I am too. Don't be like me! I am existing in a very strange mental & sensory weird state. All my medications over the past 4 months have been changed, doses up and down, ordered by 6 different Drs and my additional 5 vit/mineral/ mushroom mix. My Onc has done the best in getting a team of Practitioners trying to unpack these meds+. I really wish I had kept up more closely with the changes because I think what started out as a good response to promote sleep has ended up having trouble being metabolized by my older body. It is Amitriptyline upped from 25mg to 100mg at bedtime. Sleep IS very important though!!!

Ambien works without any hangover.

benedryl knocks me out, it may help you! some it makes sleepy, some it makes hyper, so beware. it's cheap enough, I just take the generic pink tabs 25 mg and gets rid of my itchy eyes and allergies too :)

10 mg of Melatonin plus a little CBD oil (for sleep variety) helps me alot. I'm on a C-pap with Oxygen, and that helps, too. I recently heard from a reliable source (Consumers Report, I think) that benedryl taken for sleep can have negative impact...dfon't remember exactly what, but I stopped it just a few nights ago and am sleeping as well without it. Claritin works best for my hay fever type allergies.

I am a long time fan of ambien but you have to wary of dose creep. I started taking 7.5?mg by breaking in half… now take slow release 12.5 mg… sleep well! But it me night I thought I took it but don’t think it did- I stayed awake all night! So watch out for thst.
