Elacestrant
Yes, my partner began it one week ago. No side effects so far.
Would you mind telling us your partner’s history and why Elacestrant was prescribed?
10 years out, still on Zometa and Fulvysnat (sp?), had a bone scan last Dec - first one in 5 years as she doesn't like scans and found new tumor growth on 'sit bones' on left side. (She only has bone mets, no soft tissue mets). First, the oncologist suggested one of three kinds of chemo ( no chemo to date!) and also did genetic markers and found that there are 2 markers that are positive. So, this just as Orsurdu was approved. Interesting timing and very lucky really. Hope this helps?
I had a long discussion with my Onc last week about exactly how this drug works and could it be for me. Well, it is not for me now, but could be in the future if there is progression on Faslodex. She told me she has started one patient so far on it and they are still waiting for it to arrive. The manufacturer is just now getting up and running. She said when first starting it a fair amt of people experience some nausea but as they continue it the nausea usually resolves
I’ve been on it 3 days so far. I had been on endocrine therapy but developed the ESR1 mutation. Slight nausea shortly after I take it but that’s it so far.
hi NShaft, how’s it going so far?
I had scans last week. They showed stable with some improvement. I’ll take that! My tumor markers stayed about the same at 35.
