it’s only the left side but it’s so dry it bleeds a little sometimes and now I think it’s creating a sore inside my nostril. Doesn’t look like it’s a super common side effect and like all the other side effects I’m hoping my body gets used to the Ibrance and the side effect subsides but are there any recommendations for this? I compromised and stated on 100 mg but after just 3 weeks I’m already asking to go to 75 mg. Hopefully will hear from onc soon about that.

ugh!! Another Ibrance side effect…. Dry nose
Hello. Yes I have experienced this. My GP was able to prescribe some cream to help , I hope this helps?
Have you tried Ayr, a saline gel spray? I have found that to be helpful.
Winter is here in Canada so I'm thinking the dry air combined with my cancer meds resulted in my bloody nose (also left side only). This is a recent experience even though I've been taking Kisqali for about a year.
I have had weepy eyes for a number of months but that seems to be improving. However, when it happens, it tends to make my nose run too. The result has meant considerable bloody discharge on a few occasions.
I find Vicks vaporub helps to keep my nasal tissues soft, and less likely to bleed with dry air. I'm thinking also that all this will happen less frequently as my body adapts to winter. Sometimes, we do have to be patient with specific side effects.
Best wishes, Cindy
Got this tip from my son’s allergist years ago and I use it myself, now, since I’m on Ibrance and fulvestrant…. Put a little dab of neosporin in each nostril. It keeps the tissues soft plus will help heal any cracks or sores.
I get this whenever I have a little cold. I use petroleum jelly (Vaseline) every night and this helps the sores heal and keeps the skin supple.
I had that in the beginning, I used Ayr as someone suggested and it helped. I’m going on 10 months now and it is much better. It seems I play side effect roulette throughout the time I’ve been on it, but nothing too severe. I hope things get better for you.
I put a dab of bacitracin or Vicks vapo rub in my nostril at night before I go to bed. Helps immensely with the dry nostril.
I’ve had same problem with verzenio/letrizole combo. I put neosporin or Vaseline in my nose, depending on the sores location. Seems to help but of course the sore eventually returns in same nose. Go figure!!!
Yes, it happened to me a couple of time. Used Aquaphor or any healing ointment at night. It really helps!
hello! I remember having those same dry nose issues, especially during the indoor heating season. Do consider using a humidifier especially at night. Use saline sprays and a cream when necessary. It’ll moderate after a while as your body acclimates to these meds. Feel better soon!
Staying hydrated is the best thing for me. I try to drink lots of water. And to help my dry sinuses, dry eyes, and dry ears, I put a little pinch of sea salt in an 8oz glass daily. Sometimes I replace with a gatoraide.🐝
why is that a ibrance side effect? I’ve been on ibrance for 5-plus years and also on this site, as long. I don’t think I have seen dry nasal related to ibrance? Could it be caused by something else?
