I was looking for some advice - my cea153 has gone from 32 in March to 33 in July and now34 in September. Largely over the past couple of years they have been between 31 and 37. How does your ONC measure your ca153 and does one point mean much. I am concerned !

I know that many oncologists only rely on scans. Nevertheless My markers up to now reflected and anticipated what was next found on PET. We are all so different!
hello! My ONC says not to worry about the monthly ups and downs…what she would be concerned about is trends over several months…so if the markers keep rising for 5 or 6 months , she would then start to look for other data . Markers are responses to stressors in your body…getting a flu or Covid vaccine can do it. Best wishes !
Your numbers seem very stable. I was over 200 when diagnosed, and the lowest I’ve been to now is 83. I am fairly stable now and was over 200 in 2019. I look across months, and if I have a steady rise, that’s when I know something is up. Mine go up and down within 20 points monthly. I have lobular, and scans don’t work for me, so I rely on tumor markers and how I feel for the most part.
I agree with all those who describe your CA 15-3 results as stable. I would go so far as to say that they cannot be more stable until they fall into the "normal range". However, the last couple of years seem to have made it clear that your personal "normal range" is 31-37!
A spread of only a few points means absolutely nothing. Besides measurement error in the lab, there are many reasons why our individual measurements may vary somewhat from day to day, or even hour to hour. Until your CA 15-3 starts to climb steadily from month to month, please ignore it.
Im in the UK. This marker is, in my experience, rarely used as a reliable indicator of tumour activity and a few points higher iis no cause for alarm.
A significantl hike would, again ffrom mmy experience, indicate that a scan should be considered which would be a reliable source on tumour presence/recurrence.
