Microbiome research and metastatic breast cancer
Thanks for this fascinating new research! It makes sense that there is an "impact of gut microbiome disturbance on tumor metastasis" for breast cancer as well as the other cancers noted given that "The gut microbiome refers to the ecosystem of microorganisms that inhabit the gut, and predominantly consists of over a thousand bacterial species, as well as to a lesser extent fungi, viruses, archaea, and protists." Who knew the gut is that active!!
I am starting to see more and more studies re. diet, gut biome, effects of anti-inflammatory nutrients. However it is rare for an Oncologist to even be knowledgeable about this info as they are trained in medical/treatment primarily. I think if one can comfortably make changes especially in diet, go for it, you got nothing to lose use except maybe a few pounds which is usually a good thing re. cancer progression anyway! Thanks for posting
Greetings: Sister/Warrior/Thriver I have always researched many studies about the importance of Probiotics, and Prebiotics for our guts health. Our stomach accounts for almost 70% of our immune system's arsenal . I have been taking a Probiotics/Prebiotics combo capsule daily for years.π. Thank you, and GOD bless you for posting this article . It may help all of us live longer, healthier, happier lives. ππ
