Hi ..l have been on letrozole and ibrance 125.for two months...l have always been able to braid my long hair in to a thick braid..two days ago l noticed suddenly my hair is gone down the centre from the back.of my head..my centre braid piece is totally gone ..l am devastated..this happened so soon .
I was ready for hair lose .but this much at once

Other thing is had a piece of a bun after dinner..one hour later.pain shooting up my back so bad .cause me too be very sick .then it went away
Same pain in my back that sent to hospital ..only to be told cancer in L4

After this 7 day rest ibrance will be lower to 100..is this safe?
Firstly, I’m so sorry to hear about the sudden hair loss and cancer in your L4 vertebrae. Ibrance is working for me for over 12 months now and I’m on the 100mg dosage. I have found that my hair loss almost halted when I switched to the lower dose and the 5 days on, two days off protocol. Fatigue is the only side effect. Hope you find the correct dosage for yourself soon. All the best. 💚
Ibrance is ok as long as it helps ..Just once in awhile l get a surprise...making me think did l bring that on ..l worry for a hour even a day then ..its gone..My hair is long and med in thickness so losing a bit
Does not impress me probably no one else ....l did get really worried when it happened..l am ok now

Sorry to hear you are having problems. The hair loss can be worrisome, but I think most people find that the loss lessens after a few months of treatment. My dosage was lowered from 125 to 100 after a few cycles due to my neutrophils being too low. It should not affect the efficacy at all. Even waiting longer than one week in between cycles should not be a problem. Good luck!
Changes can bring such worry, for sure! I was on 125mg for one year, then 100mg for another year and now on 75mg and everything still stable. Main reasons I dropped down dosages was too low neutrophils and mouth ulcers. I have a couple of spots in my spine and use CBD/THC oil as pain relief. It is not an immediate relief, I find if I take it once daily I’m good. My hair thinned but only noticeable to me. I had it cropped short and loving the low maintenance. I have to say though that I’m not one for grooming my locks so not that bothered but I’ve never been able to grow long hair anyway. Hope you find a happy solution😘
I am soon to get Hairdreams tape in extensions for volume and shine. I had very thick dark hair until Letrozole and Ibrance (2.5 years) ate it away! I still have hair but nothing like before.
With regards to Lowering Ibrance mine had to be lowered to 100 after about 18 months due to neutropenia. I am fine at 100. I hope my reply has been helpful.
That is a shock for sure. Lowering the dose is not going to hurt. And it probably will help the hair situation. I would have loved to stay on Ibrance a bit longer and adjusting the dosage but because of increase the doctor decided to switch to the next medicine. I might mention that I was on compassionate care with Ibrance so I guess also hetr decided I would not be accepted again. Because my youngest daughter asked about
Verzeniio he tried and I was accepted. (he wasn't offering it). It is the sister drug to Ibrance. I have done very well on Verzenio except for the hair loss which is minimal.
Sorry to hear this. I am on a lower dose of Ibrance of 75mg and have remained stable for 2 years , 8 months on this dose. Initialy I did experience some hair lose, but I changed hair products to more natural product without parabens ( I used Faith in Nature ) and my hair lose stopped
I changed to 100 early in treatment. Now on it more than three yrs. Hair thinned, but there was a lot and there is lots of new growth! Bought a product to shake on my thinning part. No one has commented.
Hi there Minou82. I hope I may be able to help in a couple of areas. As for a reduction in Ibrance. I have been taking this with Letrozole since October 2021. I have had to reduce to 100 from 125 recently because of the body’ s tolerance to the medication do I wouldn’t worry too much. As for your hair, I was expecting a lot of hair loss do had it cut short but it didn’t happen. However over the last month or so I am losing quite a bit so am coming to terms with wearing a wig. It’s a difficult time for all of us I’ve lost my mum and my sister to breast cancer so my thoughts are with you. Take care
Thank You..KarenandLinda for your reply...Your lose is sad..My hair became very dry brittle in the top center back then it broke off... I have a part now. Rest of my hair is still soft and long.. I will buy a piece of natural humane clip on ..
its a Journey...Doctor told me last visit she was going to lower the dose too 100..
I also had a stool movement last nite it was normal..But..a small flow of bleeding came with it not in it like water...Have you had this
Hi Minou82, on your last question about the bleeding, if you had that much blood coming out after a bowel movement I would encourage you to tell your doctor right away. I’ve never heard that mentioned as a side effect of these medications….
Yes it is safe. I got lowered from 125 to 75 in the first 5 months. My bod could not tolerate the higher dose. I have been stable on this for 3 years.Theresa
Hi. I’m so sorry about your hair loss. I noticed my hair thinning about 7 months into Ibrance. I can’t stand touching my hair because it feels so thin and lifeless. There are hair thickening shampoos and I’ve been using one that helps a little.
Funny thing. I was on letrozole alone for three years before finding I had bone Mets. I swear my hair got so much thicker during those three years. Now I’m on Ibrance and fuslodex and my hair is thinning. Letrozole didn’t work for me
