Never gloating. Just so very grateful for each time this happens.

Got another lots of scans done last week. And apart from the terrible pain in both thumbs.... No spread. No growth to existing tumours. 4 years sin diagnosis in May.

Feeling terribly lucky. And now, after so many lockdowns here in Melbourne, it must be time for my little Stevie (moodle) and me to take to the road.

I just hope I get more time to see this beautiful country I call home, before I'm too sick to do it.

Come on down Lynn. Hire a van and we can sop wine by the sea, as the sun goes down.

Hi Timtam! That is wonderful news! I’m so happy for you. Have a wonderful trip - where do you think you’ll head first? I’m missing home so much. That was always my dream when I was young, to one day drive all around Australia. As life has lead me in different directions I’ve barely seen any of it :( I wish you well on your journey. And btw, I just jumped across to your profile again quickly, your watercolors are beautiful! I really love them

Well that's what I'd like to do. Around this big land. But there's the blood tests the picking up of medication. The scans. I'm not sure if I can self advocate AND do a long trip. But I'll talk to my medicos. See what I can do. But definitely closer to home so many things I've not yet seen. Or want to go back. But great Ocean road.... Slowly. Whale watching is definitely on the radar.

Yes the irony of being well enough to travel but having those test and medications potentially keeping us on a leash. I often think about that when I fantasize about traveling. I'm sure you can work out a number of fantastic trips though, even if it's not all in one direction :) I look forward to hearing your experiences and some pics!

Aw! Nice pic. We had our best holidays in our camper van also. Even though we were two and and an Australian Shepard. It really is nice even on rainy days when we curled up with a book or just slept it out. We took a road trip to the West coast of Canada. Nine weeks.

Cheers, June S.

Yes. Taht’s exactly what I think. It’s doesn’t matter even if it’s raining.

Thank you all for your lovely messages. Saw a van re-fitter man today. So I’m planning on getting some things done to make it much more comfortable for Stevie and I. Drawers instead of cupboards to In don’t have to bend a twist. A really good awning. ETC. I have to try to calm myself as this won’t happen for about 2 months and will take a few weeks. But I’ll take it away before then anyway. I will post you all pics here and take you all with me in my heart.

So lucky indeed! Diagnosis was a dark and scary time, a place with no way out…but thankfully these therapies are working and we have the mos5bprecious gift of time. Enjoy your gift!

It's not gloating and certainly a cause for celebration! Enjoy your trip!

Such heart warming news and something to give us all hope.I travelled around Oz in an old Holden in 1990 - loved every minute of it, especially the Northern Territories.

You enjoy
