Dear ladies,

Given the terminal diagnosis, I asked for the recommendations for the charity to be able to leave a legacy beyond the family and friends.

Now I’m happy to share that I found it.

Jack and Jill Late Stage cancer foundation (jajf.org) was inspired by Jill Albert’s real story. During her fight with MBC, she realized that storing memories of special family times are very important.

Pls This foundation is giving young children who will lose mom or dad to cancer, time to create memories as a family while it’s still possible.

The uniqueness of the program is that all families should be referred directly by their treating oncologist.

I’m lucky that my son is grown and having a family of his own. But the mission of the Jack and Jill foundation resonate closely with me.

Thought I’d share it with you as well. Visit the site and see for yourself.

Best wishes,

Polina

Forward thinking, way way forward🤞….in that you be leaving us anytime soon!!! But a great sentiment.Sounds like a very good cause.

My main oncology centre is a free service supported by the national bank (The Bank of Cyprus). They work with a network of smaller local centres that offer a variety of support systems and treatment options. These smaller facilities are often independent charities, as is the case with the one that I visit in my area. We made a donation there this year, and will continue to do so as my families business makes such contributions regularly….being a group of architects and designers we all have a strong sense of social responsibility. My father in law is a bowel cancer survivor who has also appreciated using these services, so we’ve had this charity in our hearts already.

Best wishes Zoe.

I think it’s a great idea. I have been trying to take videos and pictures like crazy to leave my grandson. I was wondering if they would let the person leave it for their grandchild? I know there would probably be a lot of grandchildren, just a thought.

Such a sweet idea. How old is your grandson? I have 5 and 3 year olds grandsons. Can”r stop thinking whether and what will they remember.

My grandson is 18 months old. This diagnosis is a double edged sword, I hate having cancer but I was able to spend the first year of my grandson’s life taking care of him. I believe we are pretty close and I enjoy him so much. Thank you.
