Brain Mets
I haven't had WBR, but I had my first ever rads this fall, for two tiny spots on the right frontal cerebellum, and will start around 10-13 sessions of radiation for some cancer near my right arm pit, putting pressure on the nerves to my right and limiting my use of it. Like others, I've heard scary stories about brain rads and rads inm general. The brain rads I did have really did reassure me about rads! I was a little more tired than usual for about 24 hrs after the rads. I found the whole process fascinating! The data that has to be found for each of our bodies, and then entered into the machines, and the amount of monitoring during the rad sessions! It's very individualized! What has worked well for me is having a list of questions and concerns that I take to the doctor's appt and I asked about what to expect in terms of how long til I see progress. I hope you will be able to go into this with confidence in the process! Sending love and prayers...................
