Hi guys, I hope everyone had a wonderful day, I am on here as moms advocate and been a part of this group for 3 years after mom got diagnosed.
When she was diagnosed with stage 4 after 10 years of being cancer free this damn cancer spread to bones. We started with ibrance and faslodex which lasted 7 months with progression to femur. After that we went on to faslodex shots for 2 years exactly and last this passed March was when progression to lungs happened with a single nodule which was very small.
Doc decided to study EE combo which is affinities and exemestane which failed and more lung nodules appeared as the tumor markers kept going up each month. Dr. Started her on taxol/carboplatin as a more aggressive approach to knock it out. I am pregnant with my 3rd baby and they are not allowing me to go to the appointments but from what my sister says they want a fast turn around and the doc wants to them go on oral chemo after.
I guess my question is… is there anyone here that has had a similar experience? How did it go?
I’m looking for anything that can help us during this difficult time
Thank you so much and God Bless
