This will be a first experience for me and I am asking if any of you might have suggestions or guidelines as to what kind of questions I may want to ask. Thank you very much and hope everyone is doing well

Where are you being treated currently? What is your current MBC condition? What are your current docs saying is next? I also did that and I was most impressed with Dana Farber and what they asked for medical info, etc. I am being treated at Georgetown Lombardi in DC. and the NIH. I also went to Philadelphia to consult and see the Cancer Institute o America. i did not like that one at all. But, what I found was that no one really, at that time, told me anything different than Lombardi had, so I stayed local. I have kept it open for another point in this journey to recheck to also see if there may be a trial I can enter when that time comes. Even with advanced cancer in my entire liver and bones and omentim, I have made my previous goals to be at my sons graduation from law school and my little granddaughters first birthday as well as help my son set uphill first adult apartment after graduation before his job starts this October. So next goal is my younger daughters wedding next October. Wow that is a challenge but I will do what I can and the rest is in God's hands.Keep me informed as to what MD Anderson says!
I am now being treated for recurrence stage for breast cancer that reared its ugly head after 10 years. Currently I take Ibrance, As well as Faslodex and Xgeva injections once a month. My purpose for the second opinion was exactly as you stated, to have a mechanism in place if I need to go forward with different treatment.
Im guessing they won't tell you much difference than what you are currently doing and only possibilities of future meds. they may suggest you try a trial but if it is a stage 1 or 2 trial maybe not the best idea, especially a 1 which is basically for efficacy of drugs--a bit too experimental unless you are at an end of standard treatment--doesn't sound like you are at all. I thought you had mentioned that your cancer just took off after 10 years. So, now I am thinking you mean from your original BC turning into MBC?? Not MBC from one or more areas to even more spread.
