Alternatives to gabapentin? Long term use of it?

Can anyone recommend a natural alternative to gabapentin? My mom had a prophylactic kyphoplasty surgery following SBRT radiation back in January and has been experiencing a significant amount of pain related to the surgery even now. Her pain doctor recommended gabapentin or an epidural, but we'd like to try more natural approaches. I appreciate any advice this group could offer

I have been taking gabapentin for neuropathy. If there is a natural alternative I would also like to know.

100 mg of gabapentin works well for me. That exact dosage. Too much is bad and causes side effects for me . I hope this helps. Susie

Sorry for the slow reply.I am not sure I can be of much help here as your Mom is experiencing high levels of pain.

Magnesium gel by BetterYou works for a friend of mine and I have heard good things about Magnesium for joints. However I am not sure if it will be strong enough for your Mom, might be worth a try though.
