I belong to a small on-line art therapy group for breast cancer. I have found it worthwhile and fun even though I have never drawn before avoiding it in even in grade school. Perhaps you will find this free class beneficial too. I will be attending.

What a great idea! When I lost my sister to this stupid disease, a friend bought me an adult coloring book and it is the most calming thing on the planet

IwasborntodothisMe too I never colored, or drew as a child, but do now!

I started when I first had cancer ten years ago and am still scribbling .

Helped and helps.

What a great idea! Thank you for sharing this! I've never gotten past the stick figure stage of drawing but would enjoy giving it a try.

PJB I am laughing. I just started doing stick figures. We will do just fine. It will be nice to meet even on zoom, and art together.

Sandra, I just checked out her book on line entitled "The world of flowers" I am amazed at the intricacy and beauty. Hope that you can color again soon..

I did zentangle for endometrial cancer and recovery (ten years ago) then coloring books of mandalas and some designs for breast cancer, and now I think I will do a Johanna Basford book for spot on the lung in addition to the new art for cancer group. Thank you for the tip. I am having a deep fatigue - everything- seem- to -ache day. Practicing self patience . In this together! Coloring together when we can and cyber space connecting on slow days....

Hi Mary115. I am a fiber artist in training and have been working on a Cancer/

MBC. It is therapeutic and helps me process some of my deep feelings. This class sounds great! Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the reply... I am finding that this group is helping with the deep and releasing process too. I did three private sessions with another art therapist and found it so simple and remarkable too. Your words resonate. Thank you too.
