It’s so confusing. I was on Ibrance and Faslodex for 8 months, and now I need to change the cocktail due to new Mets. Which one is it?!

How do we know which Rx of the combo stops working?
I have been on Exemestane & Everolimus/Afinitor for almost a year now. Before that I have been on Ibrance & Faslodex for 15 months. My scan is coming up in June, I hope it's still working. I wish you all the best!
I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for two years now. My latest scans that I had a couple of weeks ago show no progression. I am so thrilled.
I don't think there has been any progression for over a year. So I am very, very happy. I have always believed that I will get well and I still believe that.
I use a lot of positive thinking and I believe it helps. Good nutrition is important too. Lately I am drinking 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a cup of hot water first thing in the morning. It is supposed to be an anti-inflammatory so I think it will also help me stay well. Other than some thinning of my hair I feel really quite good. I do feel a bit less stable on my feet but that might be old age and not enough exercise. But it also could be the drugs. With the summer coming I will get outside more and I think that will help with balance issues. Other good things to eat are chocolate (the 80 percent stuff), lots of green veggies and peanuts for protein. I also keep my meat intake down to very few meals a week. And I have added sauerkraut to my diet as it is supposed to be a pro-biotic. I also often drink miso fermented drinks (miso made with chickpeas). I am not supposed to have miso made from soy products because there is concerns that soy increases the estrogen and I am supposed to be suppressing my estrogen because of the kind of breast cancer I have. Not sure if that is really true but there is so much controversy about it that I just want to eliminate it to make my self feel safe. I have read some things about fasting and I believe that fasting is important. I can never fast for very long but I do occasionally wait until 11:00 am before having breakfast. I also recently read that water fasting is very healing. So one day I will see if I can do it for two days. I better make sure I am alone as anyone eating around me might make me very cranky.
I wish you the best wishes for a healthy future. I believe have a good chance. Just believe you will get well and say it to yourself every day. Hugs Marlene
It depends on the progression, if it is only in bones it is probably another hormonal treatment like Faslodex or Afinitor & Exemestane. If progression is in liver and growing fast it would have to be chemo like Xeloda or Taxol. All the best.
