MBC Patient Dosing Survey Results Available!

A big THANK YOU to all 1,221 patients who took the survey!

There were some very interesting findings:

86% of patients indicated that they had experienced at least one bad treatment related side effect

43% of patients with side effects had to miss at least one treatment, and 20% visited the ER/hospital

Of patients offered a dosage reduction to alleviate their side effects, 83% reported feeling better, at least initially

The most surprising (alarming!) result for me was that 20% of patients had to visit the ER/hospital! Wow!

Lynn, I felt the same way! That's 20% of the 86% of patients who indicated they had side effects.

It's estimated that there are 155,000 women and men living with MBC in the US. If these numbers are to be extrapolated, that implies that there would be 26,660 visits to the ER/hospital as the result of treatment-related side effects.

A lot to think about!
