I had a scan since being bbn on trearment of Ibrance and Emesetane for 1 1/2 years. The mass is back to orginal size from when i started scan. I have MBC with metasized to liver. Diagnose 1/29/2019. My oncologist wasn't teal concerned but she wants me to have blood checked 6 months. She wants to check my markers. Has anyone had this problem? Help. I am very concerned. Maybe a little depressed.
Update: i had a blood draw a week ago to check my markers. Results came back. My number or marker us climbing. Her nurse called me regarding this and she said that my oncologist would address this when i go to her in November in a couple of weeks. I am currently on 75mg Ibrance. She might increase my mg on it. Not really sure. Just know that i don't like that number climbing. Scarey. I have been reading articles about this Ibrance not working really well. Going to talk to doc about these articles when i go in to see her. Has anyone else read article's about Ibrance with unsuccessful results?

I’m so sorry that you are back to where you began. Is your oncologist switching your medications now ? It’s so difficult to hear the results of a bad scan. Maybe the next drug will be the right one for you.
Yes. She wants to do labs to check my markers to make sure they are not erratic. My next CT scan is in 3 months. I just hate that i am at the same as when i started. Ugh.
Thanks fir the kind words i will embrace them. I know this disease is unpredictable. I use my oncologist words "no progression" as stable. Thanks again.
Sounds like your onc has a good plan. I know the fear when there is a change of any kind with a scan...we all do. I hope you can somehow relax until the next scan and bloodwork. Easier said than done I know.
Of course you are depressed and scared. It's all part of this terrible disease that we have to depend on medicine to control. I am saying a prayer for you for good news and comfort. Blessings, Hannah
