Has anyone tried the COC Protocol for breast cancer? They prescribe repurposed combinations of existing licensed medications that are used to treat conditions other than cancer. I gather they are off -patent drugs that aren't worth the drug companies time because they are unable to profit from them. I am interested in hearing experiences and results with the four drugs prescribed by Care Oncology : Metformin, statins, Menbendazole and Doxycycline. I believe Jane Mclelland who wrote the book "How to Starve Cancer". may have used this type of drug cocktail with great success. Any information is appreciated.

COC Protocol
Hi there, yes, I've been taking these drugs in agreement with my oncologist at the hospital for over a year. I don't get side effects from them and have remained stable since diagnosis over 2 years ago. I really value the opportunity to discuss my scan and blood results with another doctor who gives me the time I need to get all my questions out - I'm never at my most eloquent moments after I receive them at the hospital and it's so busy with other patients. So, I really value COC and recommend that you look into it.
Best of luck, Gill
I agree with Sandra ... there was a lot of discussion on here in the last year or two with ladies on here trying COC ( quite a few ladies in London ) but some I know came off their treatments after a short while . So I would do a search on here to see how they found it .
Also I would always speak to your oncologist before adding new supplements / drugs as they can affect your other treatments . I know I have been fortunate to have tolerated Ibrance well (starting 35 th cycle of Ibrance 125 mg / Letrozole ) without having to resort to other supplements so far ( with the exception of Adcal -calcium and vit d tablets prescribed by my onc . ) I hope you do consider trying Ibrance ... it has been a good protocol for me ! Wish you well ! x
As with anything else, speak with your onc about the COC and do your research. We are very individual with our cancer. Jane did many things for her cancer so who knows what helped.
I took the metformin for about 6 months but I lost a lot of weight, which happens with metformin. then I got so small--had to stop.
Yes it definitely does. My husband list over 20 lbs in a couple of years from it and I lost 10 pounds in first few months. I stopped because I am now little at 107 as cancer eats fat. I am having tough time maintaining my weight right now and trying hard to get to 110. I just began drinking two organic protein drinks daily to help
I keep trying to eat more but my appetite is not so great! I recently went down to 120 fro 125 and trying to hold! I am 5"6 and started this whole thing at 152lbs, I was on the keto diet which caused me to drop the first 25 lbs but the rest is just happening even as I have been less strict with keto. I still watch carbs carefully out of habit but I may have to change that to put on lbs. I just started up Fenbendazole again (Joe Tippins "My Cancer Story Rocks") recently but don't think that causes weight loss. Tried a egg white based protein drink and it caused nausea. I should take your advice and try again! My daughter who lives away has suggested kale chips with olive oil as we have a garden full of kale but since bone mets caused a leg break, I have to rely on someone to pick the kale and to make them for me. I guess I will have to be more persistent! I do drink shots of extra virgin olive oil daily. Good luck putting that weight on. As with many women, THAT was never a problem for me before. Always the opposite! Prayers are with you and good luck!!!!
Yes, I started out at 120 and 5'2" but now 107. I need to be 110 if I can. I am 70 and feel a bit weak at 107. I am taking many things, supplements and cannabis. My diet has been very clean and pretty much everything is organic. I drink a carrot juice 2 times day and make a green drink which has pulp. It is hard to get the amount of food I need to actually gain weight. I am hoping the Rebbl protein drink give me what I need. But, I am trying to keep my protein under 30 for protein turns to sugar but I am not sure I can do that and maintain weight. Maybe more avocados.
Yes it is a difficult dilemma with the protein grams. Need to gain weight to eat more protein but need to eat more to gain weight! kudos to you and your healthy diet. Good luck with adding pounds. Keep at it! Avocados and macadamia nuts are good choices and olive oil maybe.
