Well I got my 3rd month markers in the end and after the fourth month I'm having a scan. The results are CA12.5 = 14 down from 17, but started at 42, CA15.3 = 226 down from 299 started at 436, and CEA = 8 up from 7. Now they all seem to be movng in the right direction, but this is the first time they've mentioned CEA and I'm not sure what that one's about. Should I be worried. I feel well. I couldn't ask the oncologist as they came late and the nurse sent them through. I didn't want to bother anyone. And actually once I've taken the pills I prefer to get on and forget this is happening. And I figure that any problems will show in the scan. Any comments ladies?

Hi Beryl71,
Those improvements in the CA's are certainly encouraging! Re: the CEA, both of my docs have mentioned that they consider those are "less accurate".
I'd also focus on the % change...your reductions are much higher % than that increase in CEA is...If I were you, I'd be feeling pretty optimistic!

Thank you.
I think the scan is your best bet. Seems markers go all over the place from the info people post here.
I wish I had your markers. Mine are in the High hundreds and keep going up. You should celebrate!
Ok, thank you! I'm new to this. Good luck with your treatment and progress.
