Has anyone experiencing or experienced a breast infection during treatment for metastatic breast cancer? Two and a half years into treatment and my left breast where my tumor is has become sore to the touch in certain areas and has developed welps?

No experience Im afraid but sounds like you should get it looked at by your medical team if you havent already. Hope its better soon. take care. x

Hi,

I have not heard of this happening once treatment starts. If you have not mentioned it to your oncologist I would do so right away. I don't know what could have caused the infection. Perhaps it is unrelated to the cancer. But whatever it is, you really need to get it checked out. If it's an infection then you will need to get that treated.

I don't know, but I would contact my doctor first thing Monday morning. I have not heard of this, but if a medication you are on is causing this your doctor may want to prescribe antibiotics or change medications. Blessings Hannah
