My dentist is opening 2 days a week. I could have seen her today but wasn’t prepared. I need courage to step into that surgery right now. Im going Thursday early morning. Not enough time to think about to much. She has 500 patients so I feel privileged she called me but.........apprehensive. So, another positive, one of my lovely photos for good memories

Dentist Thursday to check ONJ I have.
Another beautiful photo, and very summery.
You will be fine on Thursday and in safe hands, ones that are gloved and clean.
Good luck

I know. It’s just reassuring myself Clare.
Best wishes
Sending lots of positive energy for Thursday...here’s hoping it’s easy and quick. Thanks for the lovely picture. What kind of flowers? Amazing butterfly!🦋
Hi there
My practice opened yesterday as well and the precautions we’ve had to put in place are unbelievable...I’m sure it’s safe for you so don’t worry...hope all goes well
Let me know how you get on
Barb xx
Thanks Barb. My dentist said they will ask me a few questions before I even enter the building. I’m to get there spot on appointment time. Not before or after. So, quite a strict regime going on there. Will let you know how it goes on Thursday. There is definitely a tiny piece of bone showing again. Maybe I’m to harsh when I syringe the socket out. I’ve been doing it more gently since I’ve felt the bone. Have a good day. Are you plodding?....
Good luck at the dentist!
I lost a small filling at the start of lock down which led to me breaking part of the tooth and leaving a jagged edge against my tongue. I was able to speak to the dentist who sent me some diy filling material which I ended up reapplying every day. I was so scared of getting a dental infection especially with the risk of jaw necrosis due to the denosumab injections.
The dentist phoned me on Friday to say he was able to see me when he re-opened on Monday. There then followed 4 telephone calls which swung between him being able to see me and not being allowed to see me. Because I’m shielding the guidelines are that I should only be seen in an emergency. I eventually told him that as far as I was concerned it was an emergency so he agreed he could see me.
I was the first patient in the surgery and I was the only patient in the practice. He was able to clean the broken tooth and apply a temporary dressing. He isn’t able to use any but basic equipment, so no drill, water or air. When he can work normally I will need the tooth crowned. But I am so thankful to him that he saw me. I do have a lovely dentist.
So pleased you were seen. It’s a concern for us and the dentists right now. Take care
Beautiful picture! So lucky to have gotten the butterfly in that shot!
I have a dental appointment next week, was thinking of postponing . I broke a crown in SEPTEMBER while on an airplane beginning a two-week vacation, and then through a series of mishaps (theirs) and then the virus, haven't dealt with it (Barbteeth would probably not be happy with me about this! ). But I specifically asked for the first appointment of the day for my upcoming appt....figured things would be most sanitary at that time...so I'll probably go. I tend to reach my limit on white coats with just the cancer stuff....Don't have a GP, see my gyno every couple of years, etc. Awful, I know....
But good luck with it, I'm sure it will go well and then you'll be able to view it in the rear-view mirror!
I’m sure I will be ok once I’m there. If it is exposed bone my dentist won’t do anything anyway. She sends me to the Facial/Cranial Consultant who is at a hospital where the percentage of virus patients are for my area. So........it would be a no go at the moment. My dentist did say that crowns, caps and fillings would be undertaken in quite a while. It’s all to do with the water spraying. It’s all so confusing. I hope you get along fine with your tooth 🦷. Best wishes
