My rhododendrons are blooming!

This one is on a bush that is about 20 feet tall, more like a tree. When the individual blooms open they look like orchids. This has been a great year for them! Just something pretty to look at.

Wish I had a green thumb. Even some of my cacti are dying😢

I’ve been known to kill indoor plans! Oregon has had great rain this month and lots of sunshine last month, so I guess conditions were just right! I think that rhody is about 30 years old, but we have only lived here 5 years, so I can’t take all the credit for it.

Gorgeous. Mine are ready to bloom. Not so spectacular. Maybe need to feed them! Thanks for sharing.

Oh my gosh! That photo could be in a high-end nature magazine!

Maybe you should consider making a photo book of your nature pics?

I'm not much of a photographer (as was confirmed when I looked for any of my nature photographs to share on this site and came up empty!), but I do have hundreds of iphone photos of clouds from airplanes. I'm obsessed with viewing clouds from the "other side" or even "inside"!!! I'm thinking of making a book of them, not because they're great photos but because I just have such a strong feeling for them. Plus they represent one of my many idiosyncrasies (!), which I think my kids or potential future grandkids might get a kick out of some day! :) Like, to almost everybody else, this would be incredibly boring...page after page of clouds that mostly look the same!!! But I could look at them /into them for hours on end... and sort of mildly torture future generations, too! :)

You should make a book, if only for you. It sounds like it would be a comfort to look at those pictures if you were having a bad day. Elaine
