Just found this group! 2nd round of breast cancer— this time it is in my scapula too. Just finished my 3rd round of Ibrance and Exemestane. Bone and CT scan yesterday.... I’m hopeful.

Hi BluHydrangea,

Welcome to the group! :) I hope. you get a lot of value from it...I get great information plus support when I'm losing my mind a bit! :)

Fingers crossed for your upcoming scans...and if you don't get the results that you're hoping for, one of the things I've learned on this site and from personal experience is that these meds can take several months to really kick in...e.g. for me, I had A LOT of progression about 6-7 months in, but stayed the course, and then improved and remained on that combo for almost four years... :)

Please do let us know how you make out...I'm sending good vibes!

Take care,

Lynn

p.s. I like your name! :) I love hydrangeas, definitely my favorite type of plant!

Hi Staysha, you all are so lovely. I'm reading the response to Cindy aka BluHydrangea which are quite beautiful, btw.

I'm just joining this group as I was searching Ibrance and fatigue trying to find other women's experience on it. I was recently diagnosed in Feb 2020 with MBC and on my third cycle of Ibrance along with Faslodex.

I'm curious about what the best time to take Ibrance. I tried in the mid-morning after breakfast then feel nausea and headaches. So then switched to early evening but get headaches in the night and morning.

Thank you for any insights. xo

Hi Hilary

I am just starting my 4th cycle of Ibrance and eximestane. I had terrible nausea and discovered I need to eat more at breakfast.. let food settle for 20min and then take Ibrance. . If you can’t get rid of headaches perhaps you can discuss lowering your dose with your oncologist.

Welcome to the group!

Hi Cindi: Welcome to the group! It is the best group of MBC women you will find. I’ve learned many things & been encouraged countless times. All the best with you treatments! 🙏❤️🙏

Welcome to the group Cindi! As others have said I have found this group very supportive and informative. It’s great to read posts or check in with others.

Especially now that we are all confined to our homes.

I hope you have a good scan and that you have many years of stability on your Ibrance treatment.

Lisa

Welcome!

Hi Cindi,

Welcome to this group! You will find it really helpful and supportive. I find it reassuring to know that I can interact with other ladies who have the same diagnosis as me. They know what it's like to live with this disease, so we can support each other. I was diagnosed in March 2018, and have been in treatment since May 2018. Let us know how you get on with your bone and CT scans.

Welcome Welcome BluHydrangea.

Well you have found the right place if you ask me.

Sometimes the support I get here is more than/all that I need. Questions answered, other people who have lived experience. Of course it doesn't cover our reall treatment needs. But for support and absolute acceptance, this is a wonderful place you have come to.

I was very frightened and alone when I first joined. Now I always know, someone will get back to me within hours, with a lovely reply to any stress I have with really varying and knowledgeable experience to pass on to each other.

Gentle, friendly elbow bump to you.

Chris
