Hi Hannah,

Unfortunately, I think Anna Marie has deleted her account. I saw a recent post where she mentioned she was going to delete what she had said and then I noticed that her name did not come up anymore. Hopefully she is doing better. I have been thinking about her too. I hope that she has been able to reach out to organisations near her that may be able to help her with shopping and other needs.

I hope so too. Unfortunately, she is in an area that has a lot going on and it is difficult to get around while maintaining a safe distance and no family or close friends nearby. I hope she knows that she is a treasured member and is missed. Blessings Hannah

I wish there was some way to have the authorities check on her. It seemed the last things she was posting that she was depressed and very lonely ! I hope she reached out for help!! Hoping she is well!!!

I totally agree with you. I was on Just Us Breast Cancer board that was run by AOL back in 2000. We all used our email addresses and often emailed someone individually. It was nice because we could email someone if we wanted to talk about a particular subject. I am sure she would have gotten a lot of personal emails that would have lifted her spirits. She is so alone and needs extra hugs. Unfortunately, it's not safe to put your email on the internet anymore. I hope she comes back. Blessings, Hannah

Facebook is a great idea. I am not on it either. Is her name Ann Marie or Anna Marie? If someone who is on FB will try to reach her, I will try googling senior apartments in Brooklyn. Maybe,

they would give her a message from me if they know residents by first names. It probably will depend on the number of residents and the person answering the phone. Thanks. Blessings Hannah

Sorry I’m late to this. I’ve had trouble getting onto the website to read or comment the last few days. I looked for Anna Marie about 5 days ago and discovered she had deleted her account. Elaine, if you have a way to reach her privately, please let her know that a lot of folks care about her. I am going to try apartments in Brooklyn today. Hopefully, I can reach someone who will know her by her first name only. I thought of that also so I tried searching the names I used was Anna Marie , Ann Marie, Anna Marie Kearn and Ann Marie Kearn. I have Facebook so if any one has any other suggestions on names to try I will search.

I just had a look on Facebook. I think she goes by Ann Marie Kern, as I saw a lady on there from New York who fits her description. There are some religious posts. I recall that she is Roman Catholic, so this might be her.

Ok so I went into that name but the last posts where from 2014. I didn't figure she is active. But I did a little creeping as they call it and saw where she had something posted under a maiden name also. So I clicked that account it looked like the same person so I sent a message. I don't know if she will respond as I don't open messages from people I don't know. And since she doesn't know me I doubt she will accept a friend's request either. We will wait and see. If it is her then she has been posting regularly on the site and is Ok!!

Yes Hannah. I logged back on just to let you know I am still here. I deactivated facebook and decided to remove myself from the board since treatment is stopped for now so I didn't find any real purpose. I was getting too emotional about some things and needed to step away.

I had to go out and take car service as I was out of food. I paid $45 for guy (no mask, nothing) to take me to store, wait for me and then take me home.) It was not a large grocery store but a smaller sized Italian store and it was hard to socially distance although I had a mask on.

Not feeling well, but still breathing although this morning was tough. I just need some time away from the cancer and this virus thing. Now, I am scared bc today was the first day I have felt very tired and freezing and I took a 3 hour nap which I have done not for a long time.

Just logged on to let you know that I am okay for now and I appreciate your very kind gesture in reaching out to me although I have no idea how you "found" me. LOL....

But thank you for your kindness. I am angry with myself for going out in a car service. Now, its a mandate, we are not allowed in the building (in common areas, hallways, elevators, laundry room, NOT to wear a mask.) You are now not allowed in any stores or public transportation unless you are wearing a mask. I only had one left but a friend mailed me some and I got six of them today better than the ones I had.

So now basically you can't go anywhere without wearing a mask. Thank you. Since I am not getting any treatment other than the meds and my tumor is really hurting, I just didn't see the point since there is nothing to update except that my breast tumor is hurting but I am already on pain meds and I still feel the pain.

Thank you for your kindness. I did not pick up bc I was sleeping (felt like a train hit me today) and I thought I was dreaming when I heard that southern drawl and then realized it was a real message.

Thank you for letting us know that you are safe. You are a vital part of this board and were missed. I think covid-19 is messing with everyone. I will be so thankful when a cure and vaccine are found. No one is sure what to do and we all have cabin fever. You have a good, proactive governor.

The southern drawl is from South Carolina even though I have now lived in Florida a lot longer than I lived in S.C.

Have you checked to see if any churches or non-profits are delivering food to seniors? I know some cities do have them. Our priest sent out an email asking if anyone could deliver groceries or run errands for shut-ins. I would have liked to do it, but think it best for my husband and me not too since we are both high risk. Is there a senior center near you that might have volunteers. You need a volunteer in your life right now.

I wasn't sure that I found you until you responded, but am glad it was you . Now, I don't need to worry anymore.

By the way is your name Anne Marie? No one seemed sure including me.

Why don't you stay on the board but just give yourself a break from reading it.

Thanks so much for letting us all know you are OK, Ann Marie. We have been concerned about you. Just remember that you are not alone. There is always someone here who is available and ready to listen. I hope that there is a volunteer organisation nearby that can go shopping for you and make sure you have what you need.

Hi Anna Marie. So glad you are here. I was worried about what happened to you as you suddenly went away. Missed your spirit. Thanks for responding. Hope you will stay again.

I was so worried I might have said something to offend you. I am too outspoken, I think, at times. Wish there was some agency in New York to help you get your groceries. What trying times we are in. All the best.

I’m so glad you replied. Your comments on all of our posts were enjoyed and welcomed. I was really worried about you. I am also getting cabin fever and today felt like half a train hit me! I wish we could all take a nap and wake up in August or so. Wearing a mask makes me claustrophobic so I haven’t been out much even though I don’t live in the city. Please just check in once in a while so we know you are okay.
