No side effects

Hello my MBCC sisters and brothers, I hvnt wrote in awhile, working, taking care of my kids and myself is a full time job 24/7. My last scan was end of December, neds! I’m just doing letrozle and xgeve. I was having numbness in my feet and little aches and pains but recently I have noticed no side effects. My mind keeps saying my treatment has stopped working. Could it be my body has gotten use to treatment and no side effects or should I not worry so much? Please be safe with this viruses going around! God bless

Hi kduck -

I remember someone else asking a similar question several/many months ago. I think the answer was/is that having no side-effects has no relationship to whether or not the meds are working....but it IS an indication that you are one lucky lady! :) And I guess it also bodes well for you since some women actually change meds due to the side-effects, which isn't an issue for you, so hopefully you'll be able to get the full duration from your current and hopefully future treatments! :)

Wishing you continued luck!

Lynn

Thank you

I would think, like for me, at first I feel side effects for new medication once a situation changes and I feel the side effects for a while and then I assume my body adapts and I no longer feel the side effects or it could be that I have learned to deal with the side effects so my mind no longer feels them.

I have had side effects stop or lessen considerably the longer I was on it and continued to have stable CT scans. It is important, in my opinion, not to think or worry about every single little thing and assume it means that the medicine is not working.

I think it just means your body or even your mind has gotten used to the side effects and thus you are not noticing them as much. Not every thing has a correlation to whether medicine is working or not. You can drive yourself crazy that way. Just be happy that the side effects have lessened and I would assume, physically, that it makes you feel better.

Keep your mind in a good place. Hugs.
