I apologize for recent inadvertent insensitive post I made & for previous “hijacking” of others posts.

I jumped in to give my spiel and encouragement to a newly diagnosed person RE: Ibrance convo therapy & didn’t realize that concurrently there were posts by others who had experienced the progression while on Ibrance that we all fear. I also learned today that there is a term on boards like this that is called “hijacking” & I’m guilty of that as well; but, did not intend to do that either as I was unaware of the etiquette involved in posting and just got nervous—I also used to blab on when I had to leave voice message—hated answering machines & still do hate leaving voicemails. Couple all this with my brain-fog (though but B (I forget the #: B12, I think...LOL—no seriously I do forget which one helps my memory) & eagerness to help others new to this site. I think it’s therapeutic to share your own experience, read others thoughts/feelings/experiences and know where I’m going after Ibrance—-as oncologists dont actually go there! Thanks to all for sharing. Good luck in 2020 with current & new treatments; good scans & bloodwork, less pain, anxiety and depression!! Happy holidays

I have no idea what you are talking about. I've never heard the term 'hijacking' in relation to this board. I thought the whole point of these posts was to share experiences and by doing so share our knowledge and give support. 😊

I had 18 cycles of ibrance and fulvestrant before it stopped working and loved it. I am so glad that I was able to have access to it.

“Hijacking” is when a post is clearly on it be subject like wishing everyone happy healthy by new year and then the next poster does the same but then asks and unrelated question or comment. Hence the word to hijack/take over the initial post topic; & correct me if I’m wrong the etiquette is to comment “briefly”-which I also tend not to do...&sttttt n to HRI pic & stttatt a new thread if you’d like to go “off the topic” of the original poster. It’s bit easier than I realized to do just that; like Eugene I started this one—no one would start asking unrelated questions or making nrekates comments. I guess there’s a time and a place & I missed the boat. Plus I got the word “hijacking” from a poster who stated clearly “...I don’t man to hijack your post but—then asked her unrelated question or made unrelated comment”—I dunno-lightbulb went off with me and I realized almost every post I made I did not stay on topic. I guess it streamlines things & avoids insensitivities (some subjects don’t apply to all persons & maybe they’d rather not read about Ibrance if it stopped working , etc.) thus being more sensitive to others interest in replying only to and reading Nile about original topic . Best-

K

I guess I have been guilty of this but I had never heard of "hijacking" until now.

Hi Bailey, I don't think you need to worry about giving encouragement to people- I think that's what we all want isn't it. This forum's all about giving support and advice to each other - helping through bad times and loving the good times. We all "hijack" if that's what you want to call it, giving details of what we've gone through, what meds we're on and/or what we've done to help ourselves. To be honest, even if there are differing opinions, as long as we're all being kind to each other, who gives a hoot about etiquette - surely we have more important things to worry about.

Very best wishes to you :) xxx
