Tumour markers CA15-30
They will very. 1900 dow to 200s is great!!!! Varying 240-270 and bouncing around like that is expected. You watch for trends or huge jumps up.
This is a fabulous result after just 3-4 Taxols! Both my oncologist and ND oncologist have said that markers bounce...the important thing is the velocity of the rise. I've read that they can even vary day to day and depend on the amount of time the blood draw sits before it is tested. So I'd say rest easy with this bounce and celebrate the 85% (WOW!) decrease. Your post also encourages me about the effectiveness of Taxol which will probably be one of my options down the road. Thanks!
Don't get tumour marker tests only one at secondary diagnosis it costs a couple of hundred pounds so I guess a bit expensive for NHS would worry me knowing though just usual 3 monthly tests
