Hi I am taking weekly Taxol and four weekly denusamab. I found the first week awful but have just had week seven and so far so good. No scans yet and they don't test for cancer marker drops here, so not sure if it is working. Wishing you success with it.

I’ve been on it for 9 months. Some weeks are easier than others. Hair loss, neuropathy, constipation and fatigue are my biggest side effects. However, I use cold caps and have kept the hair on my head.

I did taxotere, adromycin and cytoxin 7 years ago and taxol is a piece of cake comparatively speaking.

All the best to you.

Oh, and I also get an immunotherapy drug, but wanted to tell you my tumors have gone down, so i feel it’s worth it.

Tacol and taxotere have class action lawsuits for leaving breast cancer patients bald after chemo.

I had act with my first dx. Then taxol. The act almost killed me but taxol was much easier with few side effects!

I've not had Taxol but have known several women who have. Their side effects varied from nothing to enough to make them go off the drug. Like so much with this darn cancer, how a particular med works for us varies so much, everything very individual. When I was diagnosed with mbc in 2004, Taxol or Xeloda were often the first chemotherapy meds diagnosed for those with a cancer that was not hormone receptor positive. I hope it will be very hard on cancer cells and very gentle on you! Keep us posted, please!

I did six months of Taxol in 2012 and did very well with it. I had one 24-hour period where I completely lost my appetite. I had to force myself to eat, and ended up not eating much. It was weird - I did not feel nauseous, I felt really full. This was after my 2nd infusion. Got my appetite back at work the next day and high-tailed it to the Kentucky Fried Chicken next door, on my break. Never happened again, and I was never nauseous. My hair thinned/fell out slowly. My fatigue grew over the long haul and in the last couple months I had neuropathy and some swelling in feet/lower legs whenever I was on my feet a lot, which was usually daily. Fingernails and toe nails were affected. Took me several years to be able to pull things with my finger nails again. My toenails are mostly back to normal, seven years later. I cannot complain. My rounds were followed by a lumpectomy and I have been NED ever since. Did a couple years of Tamoxafin after that, followed by Letrozole, which I am still taking.

I was originally mets to lungs and lower spine.
