Hey,

My oncologist just said to take it with food and at the same time daily.

Hi 🌺 I take with food in the morning everyday 🌹

I take mine with my evening meal. It's a meal I rarely skip, it's the highest calorie meal I have and I eat it at the same time most nights. If I'm busy I often forget breakfast and/or lunch. Ibrance is best absorbed when taken with food.

Welcome to the group 🙂

I just finished my third cycle a few minutes ago. I’ve been taking in morning with a half a bagel and a power bar. Is that enough food for optimal absorption?

The oncologists tell us to take it with food. I've read somewhere that absorption is maximised with high calorie/protein food, which is another reason I take with my evening meal. But I'm sure the oncologists would tell us that if they thought it was important they know a lot more than I do. 😊 Don't get too hung up on it as long as you remember to take it 🙂

Hi...I am a newbie too. Just finished my second cycle of Ibrance/Letrozole.

I take it in the evening with dinner. As long as you take it with a meal at the same time each day you should be fine.

Hi There!

It is my understanding that you take it the same time everyday so try to pick the meal time that is most consistent for you. I picked lunch as I am usually home and have control of this mealtime. Mornings are not as consistent if I have a rough night and we are often out places for dinner so this mealtime fluctuates. I also use the tracking sheet that came with the meds so I can mark the time I took my meds. I find this helps keep me on track. I leave that tracking note as an additional reminder.

I wish you all the best. 🤗

I take mine just before bed, with a nausea pill some nights (at my Oncologist's suggestion).

Seabands available on Amazon or Wholefoods worked for me for preventing nausea. They are usually used by people for motion sickness or morning sickness. I liked the fact I didn't have to take another drug.

I take it at night with a bite. In the beginning I took it with letrozole in the am but was too hard on me bec I felt weaker . It is working so I guess it’s ok.

Welcome. My onc just said take it with food and lactaid at the same time each day. I am lactose intolerant and Ibrance has lactose.

I take mine around 7:00 pm.

I wish you well with it! Many of us are getting good results on it!

Love,

Marianne

I take it at night with my dinner. I have started eating dinner later now about 9:00.

Don’t forget to drink a gallon of water daily while on Ibrance

I take mine at night so if it makes me tired I am on my way to bed soon anyway!

Hi, Prettyladycat! I take all of my meds at night before hopping into bed. I just figure that my body will handle these better when I'm at rest. I'm sure everyone has a different view on this. God bless you! XO Linda

I think the Pfizer instructions for Ibrance specifically say to take at the same time every day with food. I assume "food" is more than a cracker or piece of fruit. I think it should be taken with a meal.

I take it at 5pm and have my watch alarm go off. I don’t have to remember. Just started a new round and get mega cramps. Use a heating pad and Tylenol and ibuprofen. Still in pain. Seems like each round starts off painful. Reenie
