Hello friends. Someone posted a while ago (I forgot the name) about having success with increased neutrophils and whites on a schedule of 5 days on Ibrance - 2 days off, for three weeks, followed by the fourth week 6 days on 1 day off.
When I mentioned this to my oncologist, she suggested for me to go 6 days on with 1 day off for three weeks and the fourth week 3 days on Ibrance 4 days off.
Is there anyone else doing this? Your input is important to me. Thanks.
It was probably me. I've been on the 5/2 schedule for a couple of months. I read that there is a trial to see if this dosing schedule is effective. Seems reasonable to me...you're taking the same amount of the drug in a 28-day period, and there is some belief that this schedule helps keeps neutrophils from dropping too low which seems to be working for me. My numbers have been in the normal range since going on this schedule. Obviously, my onc approves of this and even if she didn't, it's my life. I think I get to decide.
Fatigue is not a problem for me. Mostly GI issues, hair loss (which stopped about 3-4 months ago), loss of taste and muscle/joint stiffness...not debilitating, just annoying and uncomfortable.
