I have Mets to the bones and the peritonuem. And it’s the stomach that’s giving me a hard time. My bones are stable . Do you ever get bowl obstructions? Is it ever hard to eat? What treatments have you been and are you on? When were you diagnosed? I am currently on IV chemo Abraxane and Xeloda. I was on Ibrance and letrozole for about a year and a half and then it stopped working. I had a visceral crisis and it was hard to get the cancer in the peritonuem region under control. My mother passed away with metastatic breast cancer and it was only in her peritonuem area. That is where lobular cancer likes to go. I’m currently on a mission to find something that will totally cure it from this area.

KarenHale, Have had the flu on top of all else. Yes to all except the bowel obstruction. I would say plus so much more. My belly refills every 5 days at this point, the rest of my body can’t keep up. I am seeing a doctor on Monday in Buffalo NY about the HIPEC that I had mentioned in another post. Thing is I basically had to convince the drs to even go to this dr with my records because they won’t do breast cancer patients and the only reason he is seeing me is because this is my only mets/disease site.

Yes, my doctors say there may only be 10 women living right now worldwide with this mets to the peritonuem only based on breast cancer. So I guess the likelyhood of me finding a buddy isn’t so great.

Hello ! I have breast cancer mets to the peritoneum! Secondary diagnosis was Feb this year. Like you said pretty rare ! On fulvestron and Verzenios which hasn’t been too bad . Suffer terribly with ascetis and having a PleurX drain fitted next week. Hope you doing ok xx

Hello Willsy, How long have you been on your meds? They haven’t eased your ascites? I was lucky, the meds they originally put me on cleared up my ascites after 2-3 cycles and I didn’t have any ascites for a whole year. I am just home after having a Surgery called HIPEC it stops ascites about 70% of the time. It will take up to a couple weeks for me to know if it is going to work for me. If not I will be having a drain installed also as I have had to go an average of 2 times a week to be drained. Would love to hear back from you.
