Hi Marianne88! Are your known tumors in your upper back? I'll mention that I generally have pain in various bones afterZometa. I choose to view this as a positive, i.e.my tumors are being overtaken by nice healthy calcium deposits and bone growth/restoration and, ouch, it hurts sometimes! Not sure this is even remotely science-based (! :) ), but I do think that tumors hurt when healing, just as they hurt when growing....Be well, Lynn

The first year I was on Zometa, each time I got an infusion, I would have strong pain in a different area of my body for several days. Not sure why, but it was not an indication of cancer for me. After a year, the pain stopped. I had to come off it due to jaw necrosis.
