My eye doctor told me that watery eyes are actually dry eyes and using eye lubricant drops during the day and an ointment at night will help. The chemo agents dry the eyes and the body tries to compensate by supplying the eye with normal saline body fluids due to lack of ocular fluids and the eyes actually feel watery. The itching probably comes secondary, maybe from touching eyes too much or the dryness.

I’ve got the itching eyes and scalp, which seem to be related to to loss of hair and eyelashes. Good luck.

Yes my eyes water. Was told it was dry eyes. Nd I use an eye lubricant. It stopped for awhile but for some reason it is back now, maybe a change in the weather? It is annoying especially when u put on your make up and find it dripping down your eyes and people ask if u r crying😢

I notice it more when my blood counts are low. At least it seems to correlate.

I have dry eye from macular degeneration and spend the money for good eye drops like Systane, but store brand may have the same ingredients at a better price. Try Walmart. I can't blame it on Ibrance as it was prexisting. I do have itchy scalp as hair thinning is going on although it is different from the intravenous chemo I went through in 2014 where I lost hair in clumps and had to shave it and use a wig. After that chemo it took 6 months to get my hair back and it came back so curly. I have lymphedema in my right arm which requires a regiment of exercises in a particular order (can Google this) to keep the arm soft and pliable so that it does not get hard and elephantitis. I do get more dry chapped and flakey skin on ankles, and on arms. I find penetrating oils help more than lotions.

I've been diagnosed with posterior blepharitis which is where the small glands on the edges of the eyelids become blocked. As I understand it these glands produce a fatty liquid which lubricates the eyes. In its absence our eyes water but don't get lubricated and are described as dry! The optician suggested eye lubrication without preservatives as preservatives can irritate the eyes. She also suggested a heated eye mask which is very soothing and the heat is supposed to open the glands.

What is the name of the eye lubricant? My eyes are making me crazy especially my left eye which is dripping tears and itchy.

I use Thealoz duo eye drops, but any lubricating eye drops without preservatives should help - it’s very important that they don’t contain preservatives as those chemicals can irritate dry eyes. A warm face flannel laid across the eyes is quite soothing too.

Thank you, my eyes this time started on my week off. Now I’m going on second week on and still irritated and tearing. I was using antihistamine drops but not much relief. I will try your suggestion. Thanks a bunch :)

I find antihistamine tablets and simple eye lubricant a good combination. Antihistamine drops irritated my eyes. 😊

I’m starting to see that. The drops are making the corners of my eyelids more itchy and irritated.

I also take Claritin. I’m getting sinus congestion a lot also with headaches. But I guess it beats progression by far.

Every spring I wonder if I have hay fever or a cold. This year has finally proved that its hay fever as I haven’t been anywhere or seen anyone to catch a cold from 😊 Sinus congestion is painful but as you say better than progression 😊

Yes indeed!! I would say Ibrance also affects sinuses and dry eyes and folliculitis, uti and so forth.

Thank you Julie for this information. Did your eye doctor diagnose this condition and does it come from Ibrance. How do you use heated eye mask and where do you get these or do you make them yourself? Again thanks for your input, I truly appreciate it. Kathy

Really sorry Klamato - only just found your question! You probably already have your answer but an optician made the diagnosis and recommended the eye drops and heat. She gave me an eye mask which is heated in the microwave. A warm face flannel also works but isn’t warm for so long.

I have both eye watering and head itching. I am on ibrance and Arimidex.
