I will have my first set of scans on Friday to see if this trial is working for me. My 2729 markers have gone up but they tell me that I should not take that to heart because it takes a while for the drug to kick in. I will have a separate scan on my brain because I have had brain Mets too.Side effects aren’t too bad other than a feeling of dizziness. I’m hanging in! I’m very grateful that I am getting the trial drug instead of standard of care.

Dying cancer cells can make TMs rise. It's called "flare" and is not rare with hormonal treatment. My onc and the bc specialist onc I saw for a second opinion both told me it could take 3 months or longer to know if that treatment was working. Ask the trial onc or nurse if they know how long it is likely to take to know if the trial med is working for you. Different types of meds, different amounts of time........ I hope it does well for you!

Your response is very encouraging and informative to me and yes the clinical trial rep told me to not focus on my TM results. I am triple negative.

Thank you for your post. 😍
