Finish 1st cycle of I️brance
Generally very little difference except for some slight improvement in mouth sores and any mild infections that may have contracted. It's the WBCs that show some improvement during the week off. Best of luck and hoping that this works for you for a very long time.
I have been on Ibrance and letrozole 7 months. I don't feel any different the week I am off Ibrance. My only side effect is I get very tired at night and go to bed earlier than I used to. I have hot flashes but probably from letrozole. Good luck to you on this miracle drug.
I don’t feel any different in week off
How do you feel during the 21 days on meds
I am fine. The hardest part was the first several cycles. I felt sick first cycle and when I first started I remember being at work and had to lay down and almost threw up. I was tired first several months. Now I just have some insomnia And get tired earlier. We are all different. I am thankful to have this drug
After my first week off, iBrance, I felt no difference. But blood tests showed a very low WBC at 0.1 so he took me off it right away. The next month my counts had gone up but not a lot...yet enough to go back on the iBrance. I was on the iBrance again for 3 weeks...the counts dropped but not as far so he took me off. I seemed to become confusioned and wobbly and went through a spell of nausea and loss of appetite. My onc put me on the Sancuso patch and the nausea went away completely and I could eat again. Lost a lot of weight. They are trying to decide what to do. MRI and CAT scans showed all was well.
Just finished two months of Ibrance. On my week off, my WBC tends to rise after being low week 3. I tend to seem to have more energy on my week off. Really tolerating this drug well, with very few side effects other than fatigue. Will have my first scan at the end of Month 3.
I'm on round 7. My neutrophils haven't recovered well with Ibrance so I'm now on 21 days on with 14 days off of 75 mg. I definitely feel better by day 3 of my first off week and don't get really tired again until about 10 days into the next cycle. Good luck.
BTW, I've recently joined a closed Facebook group for people taking Ibrance and other drugs in its class. It's been very informative and supportive. I wish I'd set up a new Facebook account exclusively for this group though because there's a lot of feed. It's: Metastatic BC Ibrance, Kisqali, Verzenio Group (CDK 4/6 Inhibitor)
