I finished radiotherapy for breast cancer 4 weeks ago and have now developed a dry cough with clear phlegm coming from upper respiratory tract. Does anyone know if this could be related to the radiation ?

Dear Caradomben , my daughter who also underwent breast cancer surgery, chemo and radiation says that she did have chest congestion during the radiation process. It went away soon after. You just need to take care that your congestion doesn't get infected.

I finished a week of radiation in mid March and experienced a dry cough. About a week and a half after the treatment ended, my chest felt as dry as the Sahara —unlike anything I’ve experienced before—I even lost my voice one day. However, when I mentioned it at my follow-up appointment some weeks later, it was suggested that I consult with my primary.
