I've just discovered this community in my hunt for information online so thought I’d introduce myself. I was diagnosed at the end of September with triple positive Stage 2B breast cancer and had a port implanted two days ago. Also having the tumour clipped on Monday (now Saturday here in Australia) and chemo starts on Tuesday. Very very sore from the implant so it’s going to be a tough week ahead.
The oncologist reckoned to allow for a year off work as I need to do chemo, surgery, radiation and hormonal treatments so we’ve been trying to get all major chores done for the past couple of weeks. Not sure if that was a good idea or not as soooo tired now. Nicer to be unwell in an organised household though.
This is all still a bit unreal and feels a bit like a roller coaster I can’t get off of……..

Welcome to the club no-one wants to join! I have reason to be very grateful to Australia, because your country developed ~Flexitol - a brilliant cream that helps our poor cancer-racked feet! I write a blog for my cancer friends featuring tips on how to deal with cancer side effects (the 'little' things you don't like to bother your doctor), It's aftercancers.com
