Tamoxifen - side effects

Hi, I had a single mastectomy in Feb 2022. I started Tamoxifen about 17 days ago. So far hot sweats. Most people I speak to don't have many side effects. i have lots of visits to the loo but no major diarrhoea. I wondered how others have got on and if and when side effects settled. I have IBS and am on lots of other meds so its hard to relate symptoms ot any one thing. Thanks for reading 😊

You are very sensible to think about side effects in advance, so you have some idea how to deal with them. Drug side effects are often niggling problems, that take ages to come forward. I learned how to deal with a lot (I seemed to pick up more than most!) and started a blog to help others aftercancers.com

There were side effects for me on tamoxifen 5 years and letrozole another five years but I personally felt the benefit of stopping the cancer reoccurring. Take care
