Ongoing issues after STD

Feels like it's been going on forever but I got diagnosed with gonorrhoea at the start of November. I was given 1000mg of azithyromycin (allergic to their injection so couldn't have that) and symptoms were slow to clear but did. Waited 2 weeks after treatment to have sex with my partner (also male) and then symptoms came back. I've had a multitude of symptoms but the main were painful urination, feeling a frequent urge to urinate and a clear discharge (it looked like precum but would just come on randomly). My partner has been confirmed clear of gonorrhoea and so have I.

After a number of tests etc I got diagnosed with NSU, however no STD present meaning the original treatment had work. About a month after the original treatment. I was then given doxycycline to treat these however this did not help and the symptoms continued and I began to have an dull aching feeling in my testicles/inbetween testicles and anus (the area I find hard to distinguish). The main issues now are a mild discomfort in the urethra, tip of the penis, very slight stinging when urinating, a weird clear discharge that normally comes after I ejaculate (anywhere from half hour to 2 hours onwards). Also this ongoing pain with my testicles, and the area in-between them and my anus.

I've now been prescribed a mix of azithromycin (1000mg 1 day, 500mg 2 days) and metronidazole also (5 day course 2x400g daily starting same time as azithromycin).

I'm just really concerned. This is ongoing, having a strain on my relationship and I just want everything to be normal again. I know my partner is faithful and we just want to be committed and have a healthy sex life. Whilst this is ongoing should I be ejaculating? Or is that potentially making things worse? All the Dr said was no sex but I always have so many questions after I leave the clinic. I don't know how long until I go back, I've lost all hope. I'm having further testing for microplasma but the results haven't come back yet.

Mostly concerned about the dull ache in my testicles and surrounding areas as this has only started within the last 2 weeks. I assume it's possibly a result of the ongoing issues but just want some advice/reassurance that this will be resolved more than anything. Doctors in the clinic are quite blunt and dismissive. Doctor didn't believe I have prostatitis on examination but I don't really know what else would cause the ache.

Sorry if this is badly written just noticeably anxious about it all. Any advice appreciated.
