Hello

7 weeks ago I had protected sex. We had oral sex also. Last 5 weeks I'm sick. I had sore throat, headache and fever 36.7C- 37.5C max. Most of the time fever is 37.2-37.3C. And this fever never go away for last 4 weeks at least.

At 6th week I tested for hiv and test was negative.

I'm really scared about my hiv status

Do you get tested for Mono? That has the same type symptoms you are describing and the fever lasts for a long time. Unfortunately unless you take the recent exposure hiv test a hiv test at this early point might not show if you have it. HIV testing can take 3-6 months to show up in the blood test with the traditional testing. If you are really concerned-- test for Mono or Hepatitis. You doctor should rule out other infections as well, but I had mono in the past and it does have a long lasting fever.
