massage for dizziness

hey again guys back to post some of the weirdness of who I am and hope that someone has encountered this therapy. I have been dealing with dizziness and they did scans blah blah tubes in the ears like 7 times over the years. plus more when I was a kid.

So they told me to try to go to this therapy place for what they call vestibular therapy. the place they sent me to used something called crainiosacral therapy. there are other things as well but this is the one that I cant get past. everything I have read about it talks about a " hands on" therapy and it involves lots of " gentle touch" along various places on your frame. I cant make the jump from that to dizziness. I confirmed the appointment but I didn't end up going. I have NEVER had a massage of any kind from anyone in my lifetime. This just feels yuck. kind of pointless and expensive.

I called another place nearer to me, that was how the first one didn't end up getting done and talked to the therapist. she explained more about what kinds of things they do and all but then she went to talking about damn massages not the crainio thing but some other type. and now no matter where I look, and ask , and google there is nothing about what that might be like. the therapist said something like " you can hardly call it a massage but we do because that is what it is called."

so what about it guys has anyone done " vestibular therapy" what is this massage? I have fairly convinced myself that I will just live with the dizzy and hope to never get worse ... Or get pulled over! just let me know what you all know

thanks

I have never heard about it but I have had amazing results with a cranial message. I went to a highly qualified person who first became a physiotherapist then specialised in cranial therapy. It is not a quick fix it took years but it was worth it. I would however be wary if the therapist was not qualified and registered with a formal medical body. There are so many people working in this “alternate” medicine and do a year course and have a meaningless certificate.

thanks for the comment I so appreciate that. I have looked into various therapy agencies and and apparently massage is a part of the process. that being said I couldn't possibly afford to go even once a week on a consistent basis. add that to the whole touch factor of a massage... I'm thinking that off balance in in my future for a long time
