Almost 1 year after heart attack and this happened........

Hi, so last February I had a minor heart attack and had a stent fitted. It was a shock as I was only 45.

I've had the odd twinge every now and then but generally things are ok.

Last week I was driving in my car when I felt a sudden bout of chest pain - it was quite specifically in one area and not the crushing sensation people talk about. I also had pins and needles going down my arm and both legs. After about 2 minutes it completely disappeared and i felt absolutely fine. It wasn't really painful and I continued to drive as I almost at home.

Has anyone heard of anything like this before? What could it be?

Hi. Sorry I've just joined and saw your post. I hope you've got sorted after your experience, it was very similar to mine, I was walking to have an xray when I suddenly had this central sensation in my chest then pins and needles down both arms right to my fingertips. Like you I carried on, went for my xray and didn't say a word, I had a full blown HA 2 nights later. Same sensations but much more severe, I had a stent put in 8 days after my HA. Hope you are well.

I would contact your Doctor at your earliest convenience, they will be able to determine if further investigation is required at this stage. As this happened whilst driving, please discuss this with them, as you may find this will alter your insurance policy in the future.
