Oxygen levels while exercising

My oxygen levels drop to 73% while cycling, is that a matter of concern? Shall stop the ride and take a few breaths in or shall just slow down and keep going? Thanks

Hello Andyman,

Today I wrote to the manufacturer of the oxymeter but he told me that it is not accurate for motion measures. Therefore the 73% oxygen is not accurate. Thanks

I was going to say about being in motion. But if you are worried the. Talk to you doctor. It's important you feel comfortable in riding.

Thanks Andyman,

I am working using my bike going from home to home (I do some dog walking). I feel comfortable walking and cycling most of the times but if I push too much I start feeling a bit of chest pain. I got really worried when I saw the results (73% on effort) but luckily this not accurate.

Would you recommend talking to the doctor if I feel some chest pain on effort anyways? Thanks

Have a nice weekend

Hello Andyman,

Thanks for your response. I have one of those oxymeters to monitor oxygen levels during sleep. This devise has a a ring that goes around the thumb so it’s very firm. It sends a vibration to the finger when the oxygen level goes lower than 88%.

It also has a monitor function to use it in the wake hours of the day so that’s what I’m using. I believe it’s quite accurate. It also connects with an app and keeps records of he sessions

I have attached the photo and the report of this morning bike ride. Please take a look, thanks
