Here is a link to a site with some really interesting information
I have seen this link before, and not impressed with it, the guy whos site it is not at all nice, but i suppose its up to the individual to decide.
I had emails from him, trying to convince me he was right. There is no absolute cure for RLS. But its up to anyone else to what they think...
he gets quite nasty with you if you question him and his "cure", did you find him like this with yourself Ellise ?
He could be, i kept asking him questions about different things, and he still kept telling me he was right... and trying to confuse me with science, it didnt work on me, i am not that gullible. Some of the things COULD help with RLS symptoms, but most of them people would probably know already, the normal stuff, like no caffeine, etc etc. but for him to say he has the Absolute Cure, is far fetched and i told him that... I didnt reply to his last email to me. He wasnt worth it.
exactly the same with me !! and rude with it !!
I'm not impresssed with this nonsence either. We all know there is no cure for RLS and probably won't be in our life time. This guy is just exploiting people. Given what has been said above, I wouldn't bother contacting him.
I have some really good news to report. I read on someone's post here about this shaking machine, cant remember name, that is supposed to help. I have a massage chair and a separate machine that is called Squeeze. I put that in front of the chair and use them at the same time. This Squeeze machines compresses and vibrates all parts of the leg including feet, etc. It is working for me. My RLS is so much better that Im almost afraid to say it for fear something will happen. Seeing my neuro this week and see if she thinks I can cut back the dose on the patch. Keep fingers and toes crossed.
I read and look to his site, all he is trying to do is to " Reduce the Inflammation " ! what inflammation ?!
he he he exactly rahim
Yep, he believes RLS is all down to inflamation....
I think its worth considering his information as we all have inflammation as a result of our diets and the toxic environment whether we know it or not. Inflammation is the cause of most diseases anyway. Besides 'food is medicine'. Where does medicine come from in the first place? Food! For sure his advice is good advice whether it helps your restless leg or not. True there is no guaranteed cure for anything and all drugs have side effects.
Have you ever contacted the man whos website it is ?. Have you ever questioned him about his claims, or his cure, i have, and he gets very nasty with you, if his claims were true, he would be glad to help you, and talk you through his claims wouldnt he, so no i dont believe a word of what he says, and i dont have inflammation because of my diet. Not all medicine comes from food , so of it come from things we dont eat, so these are not from food are they
No, i haven't contacted this man at all, but personality aside, it doesn't matter what type of person he is. I was merely pointing out that we all have inflammation to one degree or another whether we know it or not, unless we live on a totally organic and perfectly Ph balanced diet, which is virtually impossible in the world we live in. I was only saying we should consider that inflammation may be a factor when it comes to RLS, what harm could that do especially if like me you have tried everything else? I certainly am open to suggestions especially ones that make perfect sense. If this guy is as unpleasant as you say, so what? And as for food not coming from medicine, that makes no sense. The medicine that comes from artificial chemicals made by pharmaceutical companies is mostly what causes illness in the first place. You can hardly call poison medicine. At least i don't.
what ever you want to do is fine by my, we cant all like the same things
I have to say in the last few says i have been taking Cheyenne powder and Turmeric in capsules almost every day and whether or not its placebo effect, i don't know but i feel there is an improvement. I've went a few nights with barely any restless leg and one night with none at all. This hasn't happened me in years. I will try to take the inflammation thing more seriously and eat more anti inflammatory foods and see where it takes me.
I live in Costa Rica and grow my own tumeric and ginger. I was making very strong tea every day (about two ounces of fresh tumeric and an ounce or two of fresh ginger, grated) boiled in two quarts of water until it reduced down to one quart. Then I would add some honey and lemon. I definitely noticed an improvement in my symptoms. The only reason I didn't continue is that I am lazy and couldn't be bothered to do this every day.
I believe inflammation has a lot to do with RLS (for me, at least) and avoiding inflammatory foods is a big thing for me. But I still need my Sinemet, kratom and cannabis edibles!
I was burned out of reading.
I believe it. I give credit to anyone who can stick to that diet
with the smell of burgers and chicken out on the grill...
I started on this Juicer diet thingy so I am eating tons of
those foods for two of my daytime meals and drinking the
yummy broccoli shakes between meals.. (gag, but getting used to)
I lost some more weight (Bonus!) I have some more energy, but I
sure look forward to my one meal a day regular meal... some
days, that's all I have to look forward to...and I savor every fork
full even if it's fish and rice..steamed green beans..
I don't know if I can keep it up when pizza and fried chicken
makes it's way through the house with teenagers living here..
I crave cookies and cake.. haha. <3
