Oh, yes, definitely. I can tell the difference between my fibro pain and the RLS pain. The RLS pain is deeper and heavier. Fibro pain feels like a toothache, nerve pain.

I have fibro to, i also feel a nerve throbbing pain with it, its bad enough having pain from one or the other, but when both comes at the same time well.... you know how it feels, it's nice not to have to try and explain it. I also find heat helps alot, but only a hot water bottle, i find a bath makes it worse.

Hi Delem. Especially after a bad bout of spasms, my legs feel like lead and i have to take co-codamol to ease the pain. I am guessing that, like any heavy exercise or indeed after a bad bout of cramp, the muscles have been bruised and there for will hurt. A hot bath or jacuzzi even better if you have access to one through a health spar or something is a great help for this but unfortunately its something that won't go away. Hope you get some relief from it.

Hi Steve T, I find hot baths make it worse for me, but a hot water bottle helps alot. My doctor has given me some tablets to take, and from day 1 they have helped, been on them now for 3 weeks now "Adartrel", not only have they helped at night but i finding my legs are not so tired after a shift at work. I also take co-codmal for both RLS and Fibro. Hope you also find some relief for it to.

Yes, exactly that. It is as if your legs are saying, 'Yep, we make your life at night a hell, but we are still here to annoy during the daylight hours.' I had a full-on rubbish night last night, about an hours' sleep and jiffling throughout. Other than the helpful people on this board (and a few enlightened doctors), I get the feeling that we are waiting for a footballers mum to endure RLS and get some serious money thrown at more research :-(

I feel for you it is horrible when you have a night like that, and then have to try and get through the next day on it's own is bad enough, but when other's don't understand it makes it worse, they look funny at you as they cannot see the pain etc you are in. I hope you have a better night sleep tonight. My doctor has given me "Adartrel" about 3 weeks ago, and it has helped me alot. I hope your doctor can give you something to help you.

Try wearing compression stockings.

I joined today - see answer in other thread ;-). I am aware of the feelings in my legs during the day all day. But they are only troublesome in the night. If I drop off to sleep on the settee in the afternoon, no problems. In bed however :-(
