Co-Beneldopa 12.5/50mg equivalent to Madopar 62.5mg

I first took Madopar at this dose and could tell no effect. However doubling the dose to 125mg was like magic. Very profound difference that made me walk normally and relax, I no longer had a fear of falling. The main problem now is timing activities so that the effective period of the tablet coincides with when I need to do something. Difficult if caught out in a busy supermarket when they wear off.

You have to wait for about an hour before the effect is noticable.

Hi, gypsy, i am the same as romany, i havent tried or heard of this pills so couldnt help out either. Sorry to hear they do not seem to be working.... :(

To add, it seems that the dopamine type meds, dont work for you at all, as i know you have tried various ones. :(

does look like no one else has had or heard of the pills certainly not doing much for me but as both Romany and Elisse says me and pills don't mix either Dopamine type or pain killers :( wish they did ....

Sorry I have never heard of these medication. The pain medications help me. It must be pretty bad if nothing has any affects. Hope you find something? Have you tried the epileptic type medications like gabapentin. I don't think any of us are RLS free but we all have very bad periods.

Hi Peterk

yep have tried epileptic type meds first .... did nothing , i have RLS 24/7 as bad in the day as it is at night painkillers are hit miss sometimes work and take edge off sometimes don't last been a bad few weeks sleep wise :(

i've tried all the meds now for parkinson's apart from these all the others made RLS worst a lot worst...... these tabs i have now do nothing might well be taking sugar pills,

I'm pretty much the same with any meds antibiotics.... dont touch me even going to dentise think the dentise gave up trying to numb my mouth after 12 /13 jabs didn't touch me ,

having a day free from RLS is only something i dream of ,

Been on the nearly 2 weeks they didn't do a thing no side affect either just nothing for RLS either................. other than make it worst the last couple nights gggrrrrrr knew the signs couple nights ago stopped taking them and so it seems i can't take anything that's for Parkinson's least i know now ....

This is he generic form of Madopar with 12.5mg Benseraside and 50mg Levodopa. Madopar is functionally the same as Sinemet.

I have just realised I'm on an RLS page and have been answering posts as though on the Parkinson's disease page - whoops.

Generic form of Madopar. Should behave in the same way. I needed a doubling of this dose before I was able to tell any difference. When doubled the effect was like magic.Whoops, done it again My reply was assuming post was from a Parkinson's member not RLS.
