Pharmacist advice on DA withdrawal

Hi everyone wee update this week.

My neurologist appointment was cancelled this week as he was unwell which has been rescheduled till Tuesday so fingers crossed this goes well

I have weekly appointments with my gp’s in house pharmacist which is a complete waste of time as she knows nothing about withdrawal of DA.

She asked how I was feeling and I said it’s horrendous but today my mood was not just as low. Her reply was I’m glad you’re turned a corner. I’ve a long way to go and I’ve definitely not turned a corner. She said at least your half way through it. 2 weeks and 2 days is certainly not half way through.

I told her the only repleif I get is in a bath. She asked is it the heat in the bath that helps and if so can you not use a hot water bottle. I said how’s that going to help. I can’t sit or lie down and it’s all over my body. She said could you not put on a double layer of pyjamas. What chance have we got if this is a professionals advice to DA withdrawal.

Thank god for everyone on here giving help and support.

Send these videos to your doctor and the useless pharmacist.

They need to learn of the suffering they have caused by reckless prescribing of these dangerous drugs.

I'm sure you can find more videos on line to copy & send.

No one has an easy withdrawal.

Many patients fail. They cannot tolerate the 2 to 3 weeks of no sleep, severe body jerks and anxiety.

I will definitely send these but I really don’t think they will watch them. If they don’ t know much about it surely they should be doing there research. Shocking. If only another pair of pyjamas helped.

Of course they should be doing their research. But they refuse. That's why I encourage legal action all the time.

I remember Kat Jordan on a fb group having this filmed it followed her all through her withdrawals, it was awful to watch her. 🙁

It is a horrible, traumatic experience. But if medical & pharmacy students watched it- they'd soon stop prescribing dopamine agonists and prescribe opioids & benzos & whatever else will reduce the suffering.

They don’t have a clue how hard it is and no interest in finding out. Shocking
