Heat packs help.

Like most of you, I am struggling to recover entirely from RLS; I want to be drug-free. So far, I am dependent on drugs, but the secondary goal is to use as little pharma as possible while aiming for primary goal. As a result, I have found that when buprenorephine almost works, but there’s that last bit of restlessness that won’t go away, a heat pack on the body part that’s restless alleviates the symptoms and I am able to sleep without having to take more meds. I use a cloth bag with seeds in it—barley, I think—sewn to keep the seeds evenly distributed. A few minutes in a microwave yields heat that lasts for three hours. An alternative would be to use an electric heating pad, but that means exposure to EMFs.
